West Elm is a company that’s known worldwide for their commitment to not only their customers, but also to their artisans and makers of the products they sell. They’ve developed workplace programs abroad to assist their artists in improving their day-to-day lives. Each West Elm store is considered a “community hub”, and they are often hosting events and workshops that connect their customers directly to many of the local craftsmen. Needless to say, this company is very invested and committed to improving people’s lives.
I was extremely pleased to be able to attend the launch party for the very first pop-up shop for local Texas creators- many from Austin! There was a great variety of goods, from jewelry to handmade soap, handmade pillows to colorful art prints. The event featured drinks and snacks that were so, so good.
Yummy cocktails made by Chelsea Laine Francis, a photographer and new Austin transplant.
Check out this incredible spread by Henri’s.
The Marfa Brand soap was incredible! They showcased three different scents: Bergamot Grapefruit (light and fruity), Rosemary Peppermint (smells exactly as it sounds- SO refreshing), and my favorite Campfire (woodsy and smoky- great for a man).
Son of a Sailor jewelry is made right here in Austin. Their line had geometric and leather pieces that were second-look worthy. If you don’t live locally, no worries, they have stockists that carry their products across the country!
These striking wooden house goods were made by Bargerspecht Woodworking. Want something colorful and unique? Look no further! You can check them out on their Instagram account.
Bunglo’s pillow offerings were gorgeous! All the designs are handpainted, one-of-a-kind, and globally inspired. Other offerings include bedding, shower curtains, and cosmetic pouches. They also can be found in various shops across the country.
Meeting fun people, noshing on good eats, and seeing beautiful things (that, of course, I neeeeeeed!), that’s my kinda night!
Tell me- what’s your favorite interiors store? Why?
Have a fantastic weekend everyone!
