Many times during these past few months, I’ve pulled up the ol’ blog, started to write a post, then… nothing. I’ve stopped halfway through on all of them. Each time I’ve allowed doubts and negative thoughts to take over and stop me from sharing with you.

While I always enjoy fashion, style, and beauty, I’ve wondered if anyone else does too. There are so many serious and important things happening in the world today that I feel like I’m always having to justify my happy little slice of the internet. I nearly always felt a little shallow when telling people that I write a style blog. Like, you’re trying to cure cancer? Awesome! I write about new lipstick shades and flare jeans…  Womp. Womp.

Plus trying to produce content that I thought others would appreciate was killing me. In trying to create an awesome style blog that I felt was worthy, I was completely losing myself and what it was about fashion and style that I loved. I was drowning in feelings of inadequacy, and comparing myself to others who have been blogging for years longer than I have.

I spent these past few months really contemplating what to do with this blog. The conclusion I’ve reached is that I love this. I love reading about personal style, fashion, and beauty. I love learning about it and sharing how passionate I am about it. So, I’m getting back to it. Letting you in on the things that I love and find beautiful and fun. And I don’t have to be ashamed of that.
