One of my goals for this blog is not to tell you what to wear, but instead to encourage you to experiment with your own style and learn how to make the fashion trends work for you.
My style certainly has changed. Even as recently as the past couple of years I’ve been narrowing it down, culling my wardrobe, and I’ve discovered that one of my requirements is that what I wear has character. I want to stand out- but only in the right way!
I’ve also discovered that while I love color and pattern in my clothing, my passion is really with the shoes. I’ve loved shoes as long as I can remember. (Who doesn’t?) I have memories of getting new Nikes as a very young kid. I would take them off only because I had to, then I would sneak them back on to wear for a while longer.
These days my husband tries to convince me (unsuccessfully) that I have too many pairs and don’t need any more. Riiiiiight…
And while I think a nude shoe is great in certain circumstances, I’ll take a work of art over nude anyday!
I’ve pulled together a few of my favorite shoe designs by Poetic Licence, one of my favorite brands from England. Talk about showstoppers!
Can you define your personal style? What do you wear that screams “You!”?
