Now that it’s mid-August, and the kids have been at home with me for a little over two months, I’ve never been more ready for school to begin. Every time someone asks me how my summer is, my reply is always the same: “Too slow!”

In the midst of all my complaining about my fighting, whining, messy kids I was reminded yesterday that this will only happen once. This summer. Right now. Next summer they’ll be older and more mature (one can only hope!) and may not want to interrupt me to snuggle while I’m trying to write or edit photos.

So, for the remainder of this summer, I’m going to soak it all in. I’m let them get as many snuggles as they want. We’ll play and have fun and not wish away summer, because I know these hot not-so-lazy days won’t last forever. I’m going to enjoy the crap outta the rest of August!
