The color spotlight this week is on chartreuse. Honestly, I adore this color. It plays so nicely with other colors and it so fun to work with. I’m finding myself drawn, not only to clothing in this color, but art for my home as well.
This particular dress, I found at the NY&Company outlet one day and passed it up. I knew I had to go back for it the next day when I hadn’t stopped thinking about it all night! The next morning my husband asked if I was going back before I even mentioned it. He knows me so well! Here I paired it with comfortable black wedges and a colorful necklace. I love color, and I’m happy to admit it!
You can see that I have the shoes tied around my ankles with fluffy ribbons. I’m not sure what it is about the shape of my heels, but I have a difficult time keeping shoes from slipping off. For these wedges I epoxied a ribbon loop on the inside of the back of the shoe, threaded the ribbon through the loop and tied it around my ankle. Problem solved and I have one-of-a-kind shoes!
So, what do you think of chartreuse? Would you wear it?
