As I mentioned in my last post, I just got home from our family vacation. Four kids in the car adventuring through six states… no biggie. Our little exploration was fun, but I’m glad to be at home and somewhat back on a routine.
I was so excited to see my July Ipsy Glam Bag waiting for me when I returned home. It’s not sent to me for free or anything; I pay for it, but it’s always such a joy to get goodies in the mail.
And again, this month I was fairly pleased with the selections. I received theBalm Cosmetics Meet Matt(e) Trimony Eyeshadow in Matt Moskovitz, J.Cat Beauty Perfect Duo Brow Pencil in Dark Brown, Pur Cosmetics Illuminating and Glow Primer, Organic Surge Daily Care Reviving Eye Gel, and Luxie Beauty Rose Gold Small Angle Eye Brush.
I’ve received several products from theBalm Cosmetics, and I’m never disappointed with them. Also, when I grow up, I want to be the person who names their products. I giggle every time I see a new one. The Matt Moskovitz eyeshadow is a deep plum color that accentuates my green eyes and really makes the color pop. I can easily see this becoming a regular color for me.
I’m an eyebrow fanatic so I’m always up for trying new brow products. The J.Cat Brow Pencil applies so easily. I have sparse eyebrows, so I appreciate how this goes on a little lighter with buildable color. I love seeing dark, bold brows on other women, but I’m not convinced that it works on me. I was able to apply the Perfect Duo Brow Pencil perfectly so that I could get the exact look I wanted.
I’ve only used it a couple of times, but I’m already convinced I need to buy a large vat of the Pur Illuminating and Glow Primer. Y’all, I’m old. Or, at least older than I’d like to be, and I don’t have that beautiful radiant skin that I had and took for granted in my 20’s. I put just a dab of the illuminating primer on my skin, and I swear I was glowing! No joke. Try it.
Continuing on the “I’m old” theme, I get these yucky bags under my eyes now. Stick the Organic Surge Daily Care Eye Gel in the fridge before applying it, and it’s such a refreshing treat for your undereye. Feels good and de-puffs the eyes- thumbs up from me.
I’ve also received brushes from Luxie Beauty before, and like previous ones the Small Angle Brush is gold. Although I think it’s a nice brush, I was unaware of the benefits of the Luxie line. Apparently all Luxie brushes are hypoallergenic and coated with a special solution to prevent bacteria from building up on the brush. Sweet.
From last month’s Glam Bag, I’m still loving the ColourPop Creme Gel Liner in Get Paid. The metallic rose gold is such a fun, unexpected color. The bright pink Famous Pout Potion by Be a Bombshell is also still in heavy rotation.
Remember, if you are getting products in your Glam Bag that don’t excite you, be sure to review the products on the Ipsy website or retake your style quiz. All feedback helps them to curate your bag specially for you. Interested in signing up for an Ipsy Glam Bag? You can do so by going here.
