Hello Spring!

It’s that time again- Ipsy Glam Bag time! I always feel like a kid getting a birthday present every time I see that hot pink bubble envelope in my mailbox. 

The theme for March is Hello Spring and features products in pretty, springy shades. And again this month, I have zero complaints about the goodies I’ve received!

The items that arrived in my red and aqua zippered pouch included NYX Cosmetics Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Soft Spoken (a brownish fig color), Mellow Cosmetics Powder Blush in bronze (really more of a peachy color), Pantene Pro-V Style Series Airspray, Ofra Cosmetics Go Eyeliner in Green, and Beau Gashis Paris Eyebrow Brush. 

I’ve had a couple days to try all of them, and I’ve definitely picked out my favorites! So far, I love the NYX Suede Cream Lipstick. It’s a long-lasting lipstick that applies easily like a gloss, but dries to a gorgeous matte suede finish and lasts for hours. The shade I received- Soft Spoken- is similar to Toast of New York. Anyone remember wearing that back in the day? Right now we’re having a 90’s style revival, and this fig shade is reminiscent of that. 

I also loved the Pantene Pro-V Airspray. Growing up in Texas made me a big believer in hairspray. The bigger the hair, the closer to Heaven… or something like that! The Airspray, though, is a firm-holding hairspray that smells sweet and light instead of like heavy perfume and alcohol. It holds my styles all day, too, so no complaints about that!

The one product in my Glam Bag that I could do without is the Go Eyeliner in green. I love, love, love colored eyeliner, but this one seemed to lack much pigment, so I felt like I had to press hard and keep applying to see any of the color on my eyelids. Even after all that, I felt like there was barely anything there. Win some, lose some I guess.
