This weekend we celebrated my husband’s birthday. We were out running around town, shopping and enjoying Austin while the weather was nearly perfect. We enjoyed meals out, time with family, and homemade brownies. 

I’ve talked before about the 70’s styles that are really popular right now. I have to admit, this is one of my favorite looks in a long while. I’ll still bring out my skinnys, but I’ve been wearing the flowy, relaxed styles almost nonstop.

Along with my flared jeans, I’ve found tunics (especially cape-sleeved tunics) to be comfy and still have that retro vibe I want. This one even has the vintage orange and brown color scheme.

These jeans I’ve had for a few months now, but haven’t been able to wear them until recently. I accidentally bought a size too small, and for the life of me, couldn’t stretch them out. Womp- womp.

So over the summer I was finally able to let go of some more of that stubborn baby weight and lost 10 pounds. And guess what? The jeans fit! Yay me!

Honestly, this is probably a trend I’ll incorporate for a while, at least in little ways if I can’t do the full-on look. I love it!
