By now, I think you know enough about me to know that I’m a lipstick fanatic. Bordering on obsessed. I love lipstick almost as much as I love shoes… in other words, a lot.

But, even for me, there are times when it doesn’t make sense for me to wear a thick coat of kiss-proof lipstick. And sometimes I just don’t want to. Those are the times when I still don’t want to be bare-lipped (naked-lipped?), but I need something.

One of my favorite drugstore brands is Eyes. Lips. Face.– or E.L.F. A variety of their products are carried in stores across the world, and they have even more products that are sold online. The price for a single product ranges from $1.00 (not even kidding!) to $6.00. They sell not only makeup, but skin care as well as beauty tools and brushes.

A newer product that E.L.F. is now selling is the Gotta Glow Lip Tint, retailing for around $6.00. It’s reminiscent of the mood-changing products of the 70’s, but better. The lipstick itself looks like it’s a clear balm or a very pale pink, but it actually reacts with your body’s chemistry to transform into the perfect shade of pink for you! Once I saw this Lip Tint advertised, I knew I had to try it!

Here I am before applying any sort of lip product. Completely bare lips. Not bad, but not great. I don’t think a clear balm works for me simply because my lip color is so similar to the color of my skin. It’s very easy for me to look washed out.

You can quickly see the color once I’ve started applying the Lip Tint. It changes immediately!

If you are looking for a thick lip color or a dramatic change, this is not the product for you. But for those days when just a little will do, I highly recommend giving this a try! If you’re not a pink kind of person, the Gotta Glow also comes in berry and peach shades.
