I’m a natural-born shopper. Much to my husband’s disappointment. Although I don’t always buy, for me there’s just something about knowing where to find things. Looking for a lipstick red boyfriend cardigan? I know where! Laser cut peep toe wedges? Gotcha covered!
To be honest, I’m not sure when this fascination with shopping started. And there are some things I just won’t do. Fight with 120 other women over a single sale rack? Nope. And I’m definitely not always after “The Deal of the Century”. But if I’m out I love popping into store to see what I can see.
One such day, the fam and I were out enjoying the Austin sunshine as we tend to do, and we stopped by Old Navy. Luck was on our side; they were having a huge clearance sale. I heart Old Navy normally, but during a clearance sale? I can easily bring home the entire store.
This adorable little striped number was one that I found on the clearance rack that day. I don’t think I even tried it on before bringing it home! The fit-and-flare is a shape that usually looks good on my figure and can be worn with a belt for a little more definition at the waistline. Or with a cardigan and boots for fall. I adore pieces that I can play with.
Here I’m wearing a simple look: black scrappy ankle-tie sandals (also seen here!), my favorite Noonday pendant necklace, and simple gold drop earrings. The cotton is breezy and cool during the hot days.
As a shopper (and a blogger!), my goal is always to inspire you to look at fashion differently. Many of us get stuck wearing only certain styles or colors when there are so many choices available to us. I always want to encourage you to take a risk or try new things.
Have you taken a fashion risk lately? Tell me- what was it?!
