5 Things I'm Loving Right Now

These are a few of my favorite things…

I think we all have those particular things that become staples in our wardrobes or homes. Whether they’re impulse buys that turn out better than we’d hoped or things that we’ve wanted for a while and saved up for, it’s nice to have something you can count on and keep going back to.

Since May is already upon us, I thought I’d show you my go-to items from this past month:

ELF Cosmetics Gotta Glow Lip Tint in Perfect Berry: A few weeks ago I raved about the Gotta Glow in Perfect Pink, and since then I’ve started using the Berry color as well. I love it just as much as the pink! On me it has a slight brown undertone that’s super flattering and seems to go with almost every makeup look that I wear it with.
Old Navy Pixie Pants: Lately I’ve had a thing for cropped pants. I love to show a little ankle. Risqué, I know. My go-to non-jean pant is the Pixie from Old Navy. I have two pairs currently (one of which you can see here), and I’m always stalking the Old Navy website looking for new ones, because they are constantly updating the patterns and colors. The Pixies are comfortable, stylish, and colorful- perfection!
Target Mossimo Supply Co. Gold Gladiator Sandals: Hi, My name is Carey, and I love shoes. 😉 Every spring I get the itch to buy new sandals. Spring is actually my favorite season; the sun is shining, the weather is warmer, and I can show off my toes again without them freezing off. This year I found these gold cuties at my local Target, and they’ve become my go-tos that go with everything.
Capri Blue Volcano Scented Candle: These are available in several places, but we bought ours at Anthropologie, a.k.a. One of the Best Stores Ever. With as many kids and pets as we have, I feel like our house always needs freshening up. The Volcano scent is an amazing blend of tropical fruits and sugared citrus. Nice and sweet, but not overpowering. They also come in a variety of containers- different styles and colors. As soon as I run out of the one I have, I’m going back for another!
Thirty-One Paris Bag in Gatsby Green: Honestly, this one I wasn’t expecting to love as much as I do. This purchase was inspired by a friend who had a similar bag in this exact color, and when I saw it I fell in love right away. I was pleasantly surprised that this bright green works with as much of my wardrobe as it does. I get compliments on this bag everywhere I go!
