These are a few of my favorite things…

The first Monday of the month means it’s time again to share the products I’ve fallen in love with during the month prior. I’ve been so busy with the end of the school year for my own kids and for the class I taught that I didn’t really have time to try new things, so I relied heavily on my favorite standbys.

I have so many tops, dresses, jumpsuits that would look awkward if worn with a regular bra. These bralettes are my solution! They are slightly padded for modesty and are so comfortable. They don’t offer a lot of support, but they sure beat having to continuously hike up a strapless bra. Mine are old, but H&M and Aerie by American Eagle have bralettes that have beautiful lacy straps that are meant to be seen peeking out.

The 2-in-1 Concealer & Highlighter by Rimmel London is probably one of my favorite every day products. This is what I use for my under-eye concealer, down the bridge of my nose, and under my lower lip. I love the dual purpose conceal/ highlight- it’s perfect for those areas that need just a little bit of glow.

When I grow up I want to be the person who gives nail polish and lipstick colors their names. In the meantime, I’ll settle for wearing this Aurora Gel Nail Polish in Inky Dinky. It’s a dark midnight blue with purple undertones- almost the color of India Ink. It’s good everyday polish to wear because the color goes with everything. While I love wearing clothes in colors that clash, I don’t like my nails clashing with my clothes. I’m weird.

Also, with this being a gel polish, it tends to stick to my nails for a couple of days longer than regular polish. Fewer chips means having to redo my nails less often. Win.

My love for E.L.F. Cosmetics is no secret. It’s a great brand for a beauty lover on a budget. Their Lip Kiss Balms are light-weight, moisturizing, infused with oils, and comes in 8 colors. My favorite, the XO Red, is the perfect red.

Some women wear pearl earrings with everything; I wear dangly gold drops. They suit my bold eclectic style, and go with just about everything. (Can you sense this month’s theme?) This pair I picked up several years ago at Target, and- bonus!- they still have them. For everyday costume jewelry, they’re great.
